Beth Cameron

Being someone who has always loved books, I am so happy to be the Media Specialist here at W.E. Striplin Elementary. I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science Degree in April, 2003. I received a Master of Science degree in Library Media in August, 2008. This is my fourth year in the Media Center at Striplin. Prior to coming to Striplin, I was a Second Grade Teacher at Ray Thompson Elementary School.

I have been married to my husband Jeff for 37 wonderful years. We are blessed with two wonderful children who have grown up to be amazing adults. I have one Granddaughter who is 2 years old and is the greatest joy, and another grandchild on the way! Jeff and I are so lucky to have our son and daughter-in-law live beside us, and our daughter and her family live across the street. Family means everything to me and we enjoy spending time together.

I enjoy spending time at Weiss Lake where we have a family lake lot. My hobbies are reading, growing flowers, riding my jet ski, babysitting, and spending time with my family. I have enjoyed reading books since I was a young child and hope to instill a lifelong love of reading in our students. My favorite part of my job is buying new books for our students that I know they’re going to love! I truly believe that the more you read the more you’ll know.
